ZAPWATER ENDS YEAR WITH SIX ADDITIONAL INDUSTRY AWARDS

CHICAGO (December 18, 2017) – Zapwater Communications proudly announces it has been awarded six additional public relations industry honors, bringing the agency’s 2017 award total to 19. 

The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) will honor Zapwater with five awards for public relations excellence for its winning entries in the 61st annual Adrian Awards, the largest and most prestigious global travel marketing competition. The Adrian Awards recognize best practices in sales and marketing for the travel and hospitality industry by celebrating inspiring approaches in advertising, public relations and digital marketing.

“The theme of this year’s Adrian Awards is ‘Be a Travel Marketing Super Hero,’” says Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHBA, president and CEO of HSMAI. “It’s fitting because the winners have all taken bold and dynamic approaches that inspire and advance the hospitality industry as a whole. We look forward to celebrating these trailblazers and sharing their exceptional work at the Adrian Awards Gala.”

Zapwater has also been named a finalist for an Innovation SABRE Award by The Holmes Report. The Innovation SABRE Awards are different than other SABRE competitions because, rather than looking at whole campaigns against practices and sectors, the Innovation SABRE Awards spotlight the specific components of a campaign that made it cutting edge.

Zapwater was named a finalist in the Best in Broadcast Media (Earned) category for its partnership with Visit Finland and ABC’s The Bachelor. The submission was entitled “The Bachelor Finds Love in Finland.”

According to the Holmes Report, "There were a record number of entries to the competition this year, which also means it was an exceptionally competitive year. For many categories, narrowing down the shortlist was especially challenging. And while lots of excellent work is recognized, some very strong contenders ultimately couldn't make the shortlist.”

Zapwater will be honored during the HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala on February 20, 2018 at the New York Marriott Marquis. Attended by more than 1,000 hospitality, travel, and tourism marketing executives, this black-tie affair is a must-attend industry event.

In addition, the winners of the Innovation SABRE Awards will be announced on the evening of Tuesday, February 13 at the InterContinental Hotel in New York. The gala will follow the 5th Innovation Summit — North America that will explore the collision of content, media and technology and more.
