ZAP BITES: Warm Weather Flavors

As the weather gets warmer, so does your motivation to eat healthier and prepare yourself for the summer ahead! Below are some spring dishes from a few of our favorite restaurants here in Chicago. We can promise these tasty options will excite AND satiate you!

Spring Farm Salad from Veggie Grill // This colorful salad is filled with nutrients that will give you the energy you need to power through a workday. Made with a combination of kale, tomatoes, watermelon radishes, dates, sunflower seeds, croutons, rosemary chikin’ and feta ‘cheese,’ it’s entirely vegan-friendly! To finish it off, top it with Veggie Grill’s avocado dressing.

Roasted Salmon from Fisk & Co. // Warmer weather is the perfect time to enjoy fresh seafood like Fisk & Co.’s Roasted Salmon. Plus, it will give you plenty of Omega-3s! The dish is also flavored with grilled escarole, cippolini onions, new potatoes and an olive tapenade. Not only is it appetizing, but it’ll keep you full, too. Not into salmon? Don’t worry, Fisk & Co. has other seafood options we love!

Avocado Toast from Dutch & Doc’s at Gallagher Way // Looking for a weekend pick-me-up? Enter Dutch & Doc’s Avocado Toast, but don’t worry, it’s not your typical avo toast. This dish includes a piece of toast topped with smoked salmon, radishes AND an egg. Our tip? Ask for a seat by the windows when it’s nice out for a gorgeous view of Wrigley Field and a fresh breeze.
