Now Open: Zapwater Helps Launch Kiehl’s Since 1851 Flagship Store on Michigan Avenue

What do a juggler, edible cotton candy paper, and a life-size Crème de Corps have in common? The Kiehl’s Karnival, of course! On December 9, 2011, Zapwater helped launch Kiehl’s Since 1851’s first Midwest flagship store in the Shops at Northbridge on Chicago’s esteemed Michigan Avenue.

Besides the fun circus theme, in-store photo booth, and free bottles of full-size Ultra Facial Cleanser for the first 160 customers, guests enjoyed a special appearance by Top Chef Texas contestants and Moto Restaurant chefs, Richie Farina and Chris Jones. The “Moto Boys” created edible popcorn-flavored packing peanuts, carbonated oranges, edible cotton candy paper, and miracle berry powder for guests to snack on.

The Moto Boys selected the Medical Research Junior Board Foundation (MRJBF) for Chicago Children’s Memorial Hospital, to be the charity recipient of a $5,000 donation on behalf of Kiehl’s Since 1851. This specific charity aligns with one of the company’s three charity initiatives, which include children’s well-being, HIV/AIDS prevention and education, and environment protection.
