RHAPSODY ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE CHEF

Although I never like to see summer come to an end, with the turning of the leaves comes turning of menus at some of our favorite Chicago restaurants. At one Chicago cornerstone, much more than just the menu is getting refreshed this season. Rhapsody, located in the heart of Chicago’s bustling Loop, has recently announced the addition of Executive Chef Dean Zanella. Under his culinary direction, Rhapsody plans to continue to impress offering a new menu inspired by fresh Italian flavors and accented by local, seasonal ingredients.

You may remember Chef Zanella from tenures at long time top Chicago restaurants such as Grappa, Charlie Trotters and 312 Chicago, among others. He is an influential supporter of local farmers, and was one of the first chefs in Chicago to truly embrace the Green City Market and it’s mission to bring fresh, local produce and ingredients to both chefs and supporters of local, sustainable food.

The new menu, boasting fresh Italian flavors and local, seasonal ingredients, diners can expect a vast selection of antipasti items, in addition to handmade pasta and signature entrees. A few sample items include:

Antipasti: Crostini of Grilled Figs, Grilled Smoked Prosciutto Wrapped Shrimp and Grilled Pheasant Sausage

Handmade pasta dishes: Zanella’s, Gnocchi, Risotto of the Day and Squid Ink Chitarra

Entrée dishes: Grilled House-made Italian Sausage, Poached Wild Salmon and Braised Pork Shoulder

This year put your flip flops away with a smile, grab a jacket and head to Rhapsody for the flavors of fall.
