ZAPWATER BATTLEFIELD

As a summer intern at Zapwater, nothing is shielded from you. Where most businesses place their interns in quiet corners tucked away with a computer and notepad, my experience at Zapwater could not have been more different. Since my first day here, I have been in the middle of the battlefield. With desks smack in the center of the bright and quirky office, the Zap interns are in the middle of the fire. We are privy to anything that’s going on in the entire place. As the amazing staff shuffles from office to office making business plans and sharing jokes, I have found myself immersed in the work they do and incredibly grateful for the hands on experience I have gained.

Being in the battlefield has provided me with invaluable information on what the field of public relations is all about. Not only have the publicists given me interesting projects, I have been able to see what THEY do, first hand. The variety of clients that I have been able to work with, like the Brixton Group, Park Grill, RA Sushi and leDress (to name a few!) have been a blast.

As I prepare to move on to the school year and study abroad in Spain, I am incredibly thankful that I had such a great summer at such a great place. Not only did I learn a lot, I actually had a lot of fun and met a lot of great people. This was certainly a battle I was more than happy to be a part of!
